One To Be Proud Of

The Bulldogs season came to end with a loss to Melrose in the Division 2 state semi finals. Canton put up a good fight, but it wasn’t enough as Melrose took the match 3-0. The Bulldogs should be proud for an amazing 22-1 season. Canton took home a Hockomock championship and will hang new Central Sectional Champions banner, the first one in the programs’ history. Individual hardware will also adorn a number of players including:
Julia Murphy – Hockomock MVP, Division 2 All-State team, Boston Globe All-Scholastic, Boston Herald All-Scholastic
Mellyn Costello – Hockomock All Star, Division 2 All-State team
Jackie Bornemann – Hockomock All Star
Kailtin Phillips – Hockomock League Honorable Mention

Coach Pat Cawley was also recognized by the Boston Globe as the Division 2 Coach of the Year.
